Most people would define a good teacher as someone who makes their students excel academically and do well on their tests. I believe that’s almost right, but a little off. I believe that a good teacher doesn’t have one dimension but two. They not only make you excel, but they make you want to go to school. They care about the student’s insecurities and problems, and most importantly they are there to support you.
My teacher is like that. Her name is Ms. Young and she’s changed the way I see the world. She isn’t one of those teachers that will give it their all just to be liked by the students. She honestly doesn't fit in a category of teachers. Although it’s her first year teaching at High Tech Middle she fit in immediately. Normally the project based learning philosophy is hard for new teachers to adapt to, but Ms. Young did it effortlessly.
After nine years of switching from town to town, school to school, and teacher to teacher, Ms. Young is by far the best teacher I’ve ever had. She keeps the class in order, yet manages to make it fun at the same time. She’s always there for academic as well as personal help. Honestly for the first time I don’t want to pass the grade. Ms. Young has taught me a lot over the past school year. I’m not only speaking of history, writing, and reading. She has taught me to appreciate the little things, never judge, and be happy about the work I create. I have grown more in this year than any other, and I owe it almost completely to Ms. Young.
I used to think I was a good writer. Looking back on my work from just last year, I realize how much stronger my writing skills and vocabulary are. Ms. Young has done a superb job preparing me for high school, for which I am very grateful. I feel that I have developed my writing skills most this year than any other year.
Throughout the year Ms. Young has become my role model. I’ve had many people tell me that when they grow up they want to be like her. I believe that becoming half of the teacher she is would be an incredible achievement. I wrote this essay because I believe that she should be recognized. Not only because of her incredible teaching abilities, but because she made a difference in my life. She showed me that hard work pays off, and that I should never give up. These lessons will continue to have an effect on my life throughout high school and college. Thank you Ms. Young.
Ms. Thanh Xuan was my teacher in the first grade. Perhaps her name is Xuan, so she is very gentle. Her jet-black hair touches her shoulders, highlighting the pure white ao dai. Her figure is slender. Her face is oval. Her brown eyes shone with affection. Her nose is high. Her red lips are always smiling brightly. She kindly guided us every word and calculation. Once, Hoa's friend fell, her clothes were all dirty, she lent her a set of clothes to wear. And it was also her hand to wipe Hoa's wounds, wash hands and feet for friends. We were very touched by her kindnes
Miss Grace is our teacher of English this term. She has been teaching in our school for three years ever since her return from London, but I have never attended her classes before.
She is rather tall for a lady, about twenty-three years old, and I find her really slender. She puts on a little make up in very discreet manner. Though young and attractive in appearance, she is dignified and reserved. She is some what strict at times, but never too severe or stern. Her patience is wonderful she will never give up explaining until every one of us understands.
Her method of teaching differs somewhat from that of our former teacher. She pays much attention in correcting our pronunciation and drills us in expressing ourselves in short English sentences. At the end of each lesson, she gives us assignments and lets us work out ourselves. Her method means more work for us to do in the evening, as we have to consult the dictionary again and again; but this Giúp us to remember the new words and phrases and we feel that we have been making rapid progress.
Though my teacher is sometimes severe, yet her kindness and gentility always commands our respect.
Took over nearly six years I went to school, I'm impressed with a lot of teachers. Teachers always leaves me these beautiful pictures and faded forever. But the most special to me and also my most precious - my teacher in grade 5. I see very few people choose career as a teacher. Yet the teacher I am fascinated by this human grow. Master confided to us, I want to do after high school teacher 2. Each time listening to teachers lecture like it. He stood on the podium looks mature, confident and loving pupil, teacher with a dream since. At home, he started small bags they sat lined up neatly and he pretended to be a teacher. Oddly enough, the children sat spellbound listening to. Did not know we understand these the "master" instructor but also children a silly face, drunk. Sometimes the "master" said they still sat done ourselves, then we have to call new large reverie. That was the first motivation to help his dreams come true.
I remember way back during school days, I used to hate waking up in the morning (which I still do) and dress up to go to school, recalling all the previous day's homework that was forced upon us all. I used to think to myself everyday, "Oh god! When will I grow up and there'll be no burden of studies all the freaking time". But now I would just do anything to go back to my school days, sit in my classroom, play flames and tic tac toe with my friends, exchange juicy gossip on who has a crush on whom. I'm sure there are a zillion other memories that we have about our childhood school days, how about rejuvenating them right here, right now?
One of my first memories as a child was my mom walking me to school on the first day of kindergarten. I still can visualize the jacket I was wearing.I remember playing football and soccer in the fields pretty much every day we could. We would rush out and I remember my brother Alec always telling me how much I stunk from the sweat. I didn’t care because I could have played all day.
One memory I have was Toan making this amazing, one-handed catch in the front of the school playing football and we were all in awe. Who knew he would become a CFL player.
I remember auditioning for a play and telling Hieu that he would not get the part because his voice wasn’t low enough and he punched me in the nose. We still joke about it to this day.
So many good memories and friends from that place; many of whom I am still close with to this day.
Enjoy your time as a student!

City is a place where life has become modern and comfortable and also mechanised. It is a huge habitation with brilliant life and life style to be seen everywhere. For a correct assessment of city life we have to look at both the pros and cons of the city life, understand its advantages and disadvantages, and its merits and demerits.People throng to a city basically for their employment i.e. for a means for a living or earning. This of course is absolutely necessary for all human beings and a city offers more avenues and has greater potential for jobs and there are more job opportunities. It is for this main reason that people come and crowd the cities. This does pay as; the city has more to offer for people of all categories. This is not available in smaller places or villages. No matter what the talents and capacities of individuals, all of them get absorbed in cities as; it offers them all the power to sustain themselves.Since every individual is busy looking for opportunities of livelihood there is bound to be in city a tough competition. Whether it is a competition for a job, for an examination or space or an office, or, as much as, even an area for begging, a city offers a very keen competition for all no matter what they follow. This in turn results in the obvious tensions and hurry found in city life. In a city if we watch for some time, the impression we get is that, everyone is or at least seems to be running to his destination, lest someone else reaches there before. There is besides the tensions of city life, a lot of glamour in most of them. This glamour also has its own attraction for the people rushing to cities. Life style becomes good as, there is a lot of money flowing in a city.Just as job avenues are in plenty, the entertainment avenues are also in plenty. These avenues of entertainment and the light of glamour in cities have their charm and also their drawbacks. The city children try to ape the scenes they see around full of glamour and priceless enjoyment. Seeing all this when most of them grow to be bereft of most of this, they feel left out and frustrated. One most attractive point of city life is that here we find multifaceted avenues of education, which is completely lacking in small places. This gives the children a vast spectrum of choices of study to follow. No matter what each child in a city is fond of doing, he/she is sure to find a place where his/her avenue of studies is taught. This is a great advantage to the children in cities, and this is exactly why, the city children are smarter and more exposed to the world, compared to their counterparts in villages.
