Over time we live and develop, each of us will choose a unique habit. My friends have a habit of playing games on the weekends. Personally, I have a habit of reading in my free time every day. Ever since I could read, I have always enjoyed reading. However, when I was a kid, the kind of books I read were usually comic books. Currently, studying time is quite busy so I don’t have a fixed time for reading. However, whenever I have time I will read. I usually carry a book that I am half-reading in my bag. The house I am living in is situated in the suburb of Hanoi city, within thirty minutes drive off the city center. We have lived there for more than twenty years. This is a fairly large house surrounded with a beautiful garden.
My house consists of four bed-rooms, a living-room, a bathroom with a shower, a dinning-room, a kitchen and a toilet. It is air-conditioned and well-furnished. The living-room is decorated beautifully. Paintings by famous artists are hung on the walls. At night, the color neon lights increase the beauty and coziness of the room. There, on Sundays and holidays my father usually spends his time playing chess or drinking tea with his friends. My mother and my younger sisters are kind and hard-working women. They often keep the house clean and tidy.
On hot days of summer, we usually take meals in the garden, under a big tree. It is fairly cool and quiet here. We enjoy our meals in the melodious twitters of birds. On stormy and rainy nights, all family members gather in the living-room, watching television or telling each other about their daily activities.
I love my house very much because it is the place where I was born and have grown up in the education of my father and in the tender loving care of my mother. I have spent my whole childhood in the love and affection of my dear ones with so many sweet memories.
There are a lot of changes in my village in the recent years. The roads in the village are now very easy to travel on because they are made with cement and brick instead of dirt like in the past. Many villagers have TV and modern electric devices which help them know more about life in the country and even around the world. We had no TVs before and our knowledge was very little. Now we can watch TV, read newspaper and have more chances to do business with others. We also have the Internet which helps us communicate easily and conveniently. Although this development is basically good, it also has some negative effects. Some factories cause air and water pollution. More entertainment centres have been set up. It makes some young people become lazier and they only want to play, they don't want to study hard anymore. I hope that they won't be addicted to entertainment and will study for the sustainable development of their family and their country.

Technology has been progressing at a great rate over the past few decades. I think that in a few centuries, the world will be very different.
Perhaps, in the year 3021, the world will be entirely computerized. Every household will have a mainframe which linked to all other systems. Adults don't have to go to work and children need not to go to school as everything can be done at home. Probably, by then, humans will not even have to take food in the form of meat, vegetables and rice to survice. Tablets containing the ideal proportion of the essential nutrients will be enough for us.
Robots could become so cheap that every household could afford a few of them. Life will be easy and comfortable will all the household chores being done by the robots. Visiting relatives during New Year will not be nessary any more. All that the Vietnamese need to do is switch on the mainframe and exchange greetings through the big screen. Children could still get their "ang pows", but not directly. The money will be credited to their bank accounts using the mainframe.
I think in the year 3021, people will use energy from nature like solar energy, wind, hydrogen instead of coal and oil. All these changes are just my own idea of what life in the future could be like.

Life in the city is full of activity. Early in the morning hundreds of people rush out of their homes in the manner ants do when their nest is broken. Soon the streets are full of traffic. Shops and offices open, students flock to their schools and the day's work begins. The city now throb with activity, and it is full of noise. Progress in science and education has already begun to affect the outlook of the people in the village, and hundreds are leaving the village to seek their fortunes in the towns and cities.
